T20 World Cup

Cricket season starts again on Eurosport 2, which is the World Cup games in Sri Lanka, while in October starts Champions League in South Africa.

ICC T20 World Cup will be the fourth in the world championship “tventi-tventi” format of cricket. This year’s championship will be held in Sri Lanka, between 18 September and 7 October. For the first time the World Cup will be held in Asia, after South Africa, England and the Caribbean Islands.

In the preliminary stage of the competition, teams will be divided into four groups of three teams. In the third group were Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and South Africa, and the fourth are Pakistan, New Zealand and Bangladesh.

ICC T20 World Cup qualification

One of the tournament series of qualifications for the 2013 ICC World Cup held in the United Arab Emirates and Eurosport 2 will directly follow the finals of the competition.

Eurosport will be the exclusive direct and delayed broadcasts of the matches to follow the finals of the tournament, quarterfinals, semifinals and final match.

Format of the competition at the tournament brings even 72 matches because of the 16 teams divided into two groups, and the six best ranked team will ensure participation in the 2016 ICC Tventi20 World Cup, to be held in Bangladesh from 16 March to 1 April 2016.

The fifth World Cup in the shortest format of cricket will bring together a total of 16 teams, ten permanent members and six qualifiers. It will be played 54 match, 39 in men and 15 in women’s competition.
